Asako K. MATSUMOTO

I am a marine naturalist with keen interests in the taxonomy, Biogeography, Extreme life. Coldwater/deep-sea marine biodiversity, natural history.

My fieldwork focuses on the octocoral taxonomy, distribution patterns and ecology of marine invertebrates. I have experienced to join cruise as an onboard scientist of research vessels since 2001 and join as a shore base scientist for ROV dives of NOAA Okeanos Explorer expedition since 2015 (https://oceanexplorer.noaa.gov/okeanos/welcome.html).
